Privacy Policy

Your tasks and spatial placements

Spatial Tasks does not require an account. In the current release, your tasks, notes, tags, schedules, completion information, spaces, places, and app settings are stored locally. Spatial Tasks does not upload this task content to Overlay's servers, and Overlay does not currently provide a cloud synchronization or backup service for the app.

Depending on your device, platform, app configuration, and settings, your operating system or distribution platform may back up, synchronize, or restore app data through its own services. Those services are governed by the provider's privacy policy and settings. Local storage in Spatial Tasks does not mean that a platform cannot create an off-device copy.

The app uses your device's spatial tracking and anchor features to place reminders in your surroundings and find them again. Spatial Tasks keeps its placement bindings locally. The headset's operating system manages the underlying tracking and spatial services according to its permissions, settings, and privacy policy.

Headset and store services

Your headset, operating system, and app store are provided by other companies. They may process information such as purchases, device diagnostics, usage information, or crash reports under their own policies and your settings. Their backup or synchronization services may also process copies of your app data as described above.

Check your headset and store privacy settings for controls over those services, including any device backup options. An app store account may be needed to obtain the app even though Spatial Tasks itself does not require an account.

Website visits and support

When you visit this website, the hosting service receives information needed to deliver the page, such as your IP address, requested URL, and browser information. Server and security logs may be used to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the website.

The page code for this Spatial Tasks website does not add its own analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or cookies. Fonts and images are served with the website. The optional YouTube player described below is a third-party service with separate data practices. Other Figmin pages and external websites may have different practices; see the Figmin privacy policy and the policies of any services you visit.

If you choose to play an available trailer, the page loads an embedded YouTube player using YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain. YouTube then receives information such as your IP address, browser information, and playback interactions, and handles it under Google's Privacy Policy. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean that no information is processed; the player may use browser storage or similar technologies. No YouTube player is loaded before you press the trailer button.

If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to send. We use that information to answer your request and address support issues. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or private task content unless it is needed for your request.

Information sharing and retention

We do not receive your locally stored task content through normal use of the current app. Information you send to support, and website information processed by our hosting providers, may be handled by service providers as needed to provide those services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the security of our services.

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or the device removes it. Copies held by a platform's backup service follow that provider's retention and deletion controls. Deleting local data does not necessarily delete an existing platform backup.

Support correspondence and website logs are retained as needed to resolve support requests, investigate operational or security issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. The appropriate retention period depends on those purposes and any unresolved issues or required records. We do not promise permanent storage or recovery of local app data.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete tasks and places in the app. Device settings may let you clear the app's local data or uninstall it. Those actions can permanently remove your saved information, but a platform may restore a saved copy when you reinstall or change devices. Use your platform's controls to manage or delete its backups separately.

Depending on where you live and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the use of personal information we hold, or to receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you may have the right to withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also raise a concern with a relevant privacy authority. Contact us to make a request. We cannot retrieve or modify task data that exists only on your device or in a backup controlled by your platform provider.

Future features and policy changes

Overlay may introduce optional features such as accounts, backup, or cloud synchronization in a future release. These would be separate from any backup services already offered by your platform. Before enabling new data practices, we will update this policy, explain what information is involved, and provide any notices, choices, or consent required by applicable law.

We may also update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. A future policy change does not by itself upload your existing local task data.
